Valtus Offers New Aerial Imagery Datasets for Alberta and British Columbia
Valtus Imagery Services, a division of North West Geomatics Ltd. announced today that its imagery library in Western Canada has been updated.
The database has recently been enhanced with 30cm color aerial imagery supplied by DigitalGlobeTM for Vancouver, British Columbia as well as Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. The other areas that have been updated are within the northeast portion of Alberta, around Fort McMurray as well as an area in the North West, around Grande Prairie. This data was provided by Tarin Resource Services and is a 0.5meter black and white product offering. Both of these datasets were acquired during 2008.
The Valtus Imagery Services online database currently holds over 9 million square kilometers of high resolution imagery across Canada and the United States. All Valtus Data is available through both VIEWS| Spatial Data Access Subscription and the Spatial Data Store. The Views service provides instant, secure access to an extensive library of imagery that can be seamlessly integrated into mapping applications and geographic information systems. The Spatial Data Store is a convenient online solution for users who require immediate access to downloadable, geospatial data. Valtus also stores, manages and seamlessly integrates customer owned data with our public database through the Vault| Spatial Data Hosting Service.
